3DEXCITE was approached by SIMULIA to assist on their new and exciting project a physically accurate beating heart, able to be used by Doctors to learn more about their patents. But we had a problem; their simulation data was not compatible with standard CG texturing techniques. I developed a system that allowed us to merge our textures with their simulation data. Mack Genuine Oil & Oil FIlter System

One such project shown above(CG at 1:00), the rig is self-animating just set the speed and let it roll, an engineer that designed the engine approved the motion and timing.

Ark Pipeline
A step-by-step automated pipeline for creating "Configurators" most of which are featured on GM websites I was responsible for many areas of the pipeline including Maya providing daily service, bug fixes, and new features. I was also tasked with coordinating new features between all aspects of the pipeline as well as all departments of the company. Coming up with features that meet everyone’s needs and are simple to use. I was also given the opportunity to train new artist joining the team about Ark and how it works giving me the chance to give them all they tools they needed to succeed in our mission.

Detroit Transmission
I was given the opportunity to Rig a Clutch for this transmission animation. The challenge was that a former employee has already done the Transmission rig and no one knew anything about the existing project. After decoding the inner workings of his Rig and style of Rigging I was able to insert my own clutch Rig into the existing files and automatically followed the animation.
